Mauban Mayor visits Enverga University; expands scholarship opportunities

To discuss initiatives that will expand educational opportunities for Mauban residents and preserve the legacy of the University's founder, Mauban, Quezon Mayor Erwin "Ninong" Pastrana paid a courtesy visit to Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation Chairman and CEO Wilfrido Enverga on July 23, 2026,Wildcats Lounge, July 13.

The meeting centered on the proposed LGU Mauban Scholarship Grant, which aims to provide qualified Mauban residents with the opportunity to pursue legal education at the Enverga University Law School.

Mayor Pastrana and Chairman Enverga also discussed the successful implementation of the LGU Mauban Scholarship Grant for 10 government employees who began their studies this school year through the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP). The initiative reflects the continuing collaboration between the local government and the University in expanding access to higher education for public sector employees.

In addition to educational initiatives, the meeting explored plans for the proposed Mauban Museum, which will honor the legacy of the late Dr. Manuel Enverga Sr., a proud native of Mauban and the founder of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation in Lucena City and MSE Memorial School of Arts and Trade in Mauban, Quezon.

The proposed museum aims to preserve the rich history and lasting contributions of Dr. Enverga while serving as a cultural and educational landmark for future generations. The initiative underscores the shared commitment of Enverga University and the Municipality of Mauban to advancing education, preserving local heritage, and creating opportunities that benefit the community.
