Non-teaching personnel of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation planted Narra and Lipote saplings on March 13 through the community extension service activity “Rooted in history, Growing for the future: 79+1 Trees for 79 Years,” which marked the university’s 79th year and strengthened its commitment to environmental care and community service.

The activity gathered MSEUF non-teaching personnel in a shared effort to sustainability and campus-community greening initiatives. Participants planted 40 narra and 40 lipote saplings as living symbols of the university’s history, growth and continuing service to future generations.

The theme, “Rooted in history, Growing for the future: 79+1 Trees for 79 Years,” reflected MSEUF’s legacy as an institution grounded in service and committed to long-term impact. Each sapling represented the university’s enduring mission to nurture people, communities and the environment.

Through the activity, the non-teaching personnel demonstrated their active role in community extension beyond administrative and operational support. Their participation highlighted the value of collective action in addressing environmental concerns and promoting stewardship among members of the Maroon and White Community.

The tree planting activity also supported MSEUF’s broader commitment to sustainability, civic responsibility and community engagement as it continues to pursue programs that respond to local and global development goals.

It also supported the university’s mission of community service by turning institutional milestones into meaningful action for people and the planet.
