MSEU, USJ-Macao seal partnership for research, exchanges, ESG

To expand joint research, academic exchanges and ESG programs, building on both universities’ inmate-outreach work,the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation and the University of Saint Joseph, Macao signed a partnership  held at the Westin Manila, Sept. 29. 

USJ-Macao sent Vice President Álvaro Barbosa, vice rector for internationalisation and academic affairs, and Paulo Albuquerque of the International Affairs Office.

Celso Jaballa, vice president for external relations, Claudia Odette Ayala, assistant to the vice president for academics and research, and Jennifer Reyes, director of the Global Engagement Office represented the MSEUF.

“This collaboration aligns perfectly with our vision to expand academic horizons and deepen social impact,” VP Jaballa said.

“Working together with USJ-Macao will enhance opportunities for students, faculty and the communities we serve.” VP Barbosa said, explaining the value of international partnerships to elevate higher education and community engagement across borders.

The signing marked a new phase in the universities’ relationship and laid out next steps for joint initiatives in 2025–2026.


This initiative advanced MSEUF’s mission and outcomes-oriented, student-centered learning by linking instruction, research and service with an international partner. It reflected the core values of Unity through cross-border collaboration, Service via community outreach, and Excellence by elevating research and academic mobility.
