MSEUF Taekwondo Athletes win medals at national interschool championships
Student-athletes from the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) Taekwondo Team won gold, silver, and bronze medals at the Smart/MVPSF National Interschool Taekwondo Championships at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Malate, Manila, Aug. 23–24
Ricardo Saludades, a third-year Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology student, earned a gold medal.
Two athletes won silver medals: Yuan Carlo Albitos, a second-year Bachelor of Physical Education student, and Andrew Gideon Saavedra, a first-year Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering student.
Andrian S. Abliter, a second-year Bachelor of Physical Education student, secured a bronze medal.
Other student-athletes who represented MSEUF in the competition included Julius Frank T. Tano, Duane Yzekiel R. Rosales, Matthew R. Segui, John Winson Z. Cusi, Leah Jane Fernandez, Ylijah Angelo R. Mañugo, Shean Chris G. Mente, Andrea Mae Batocabe, and Nash N’zo ZM R. Tarray.
“Our athletes showed perseverance and discipline throughout the tournament,” Office of Sports and Cultural Relations Director Darios Virrey shared.
“Each performance reflected their commitment to both personal growth and the values of the University.” Dir. Virrey added.
The tournament gathered student-athletes from universities across the country, strengthening camaraderie through sportsmanship and skill.
The achievements of the MSEUF Taekwondo Team support the University’s mission to produce graduates who exemplify leadership, professionalism, and excellence. The victories also align with MSEUF’s vision of global competitiveness and its core values of fortitude and unity.
