MSEUF joins 147th Quezon Day commemoration



Representatives from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation joined the Flower Offering Ceremony for the 147th birth anniversary of President Manuel Quezon, held at the newly renovated Quezon Monument at the Perez Park, Quezon Capitol, Lucena City, Aug. 19.

Quezon Governor Angelina 'Helen' de Luna Tan, Vice Governor Anacleto 'Third' Alcala III and Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Juanito Victor 'Jonvic' Catibayan Remulla Jr. served as guest speakers.

Tan discussed the historical importance of the Jones Law and the Tydings-McDuffie Act, while Remulla emphasized ongoing initiatives for growth and development in Quezon Province.

The celebration also honored Quezon as the 'Father of the National Language.'

MSEUF Vice President for External Relations Celso Jaballa, Office of Scholarship, Endowment, Job Placement and Alumni Relations Director Maria Isabel D. Jaballa, and OIC of Institutional Marketing and Promotions Mark Gaylord P. Genovaña represented the University.

They said the participation demonstrated MSEUF’s commitment to civic engagement and its dedication to preserving provincial history and legacy.

“Our participation in this commemoration reaffirms the University’s commitment to civic engagement and to preserving the history and legacy of the province,” VP Jaballa said.
