MSEUF delegates join international tree-planting in Thailand to promote SDGs

In support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), representatives from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) participated in a tree-planting activity hosted by Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU), Bang Chalong, Bang Phli, Samutprakarn, Thailand, July 30.

MSEUF sent five representatives to the international event: Dr. Claudia Odette Ayala, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and assistant to the vice president for academics and research; Dr. Felixberto Mercado, dean of the DCAV Research and Knowledge Institute; Dir. Leah Salas, corporate planning and development officer and acting director of the Office of Quality Improvement; Engr. Roselyn Maaño, director of the Research Publication, Incubation, and Utilization Center; and Dr. Jennifer Reyes, director of the Global Engagement Office.

Each participating university planted a designated tree beside HCU’s academic building as a symbolic gesture of their commitment to sustainability.

The activity formed part of a broader international gathering of higher education institutions to share practices and perspectives on global development goals.

Following the tree planting, MSEUF presented a video during the "SDG in Action: Best Practices, Challenges, and Trends" session.

The presentation highlighted the University’s research initiatives and community engagement efforts aligned with the SDGs.

The event was part of a day-long program that included institutional presentations, networking, and discussions aimed at strengthening collaboration among universities in the region.
