The Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) continues to widen its innovation landscape as it opened December with a week-long CodeIgniter and Laravel Programming Workshop, made possible through the sponsorship of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region IV-A.
Organized by the Research Publication, Incubation, and Utilization Center (RPIUC), the initiative highlights a growing commitment to upskilling and reskilling the Envergan community in preparation for an increasingly digital future. More than just a capacity-building activity, the workshop represents a strategic milestone for the University.
For the first time, specialized ICT training was intentionally expanded beyond the main campus to include participants from MSEUF’s branch schools in San Antonio, Sampaloc, and Calauag.
The shift marks a deliberate effort to democratize innovation opportunities and ensure that all Envergans regardless of campus gain access to modern technological competencies.
Sessions of Laravel and CodeIgniter provided participants with fundamental yet practical foundations in modern web development, equipping them with skills relevant in today's innovation-driven workforce.
The diversity of the participants added depth to the training experience. Despite differences in skill levels, all attendees remained engaged and kept pace with the sessions. Their willingness to learn and the quality of their outputs highlighted a shared determination to grow in the digital domain while also demonstrating the University’s potential to nurture tech-ready individuals who can adapt to rapid technological shifts.
The collaboration between MSEUF and DICT Region IV-A highlights the institutional partnerships in fostering digital empowerment.
The University’s commitment to innovation initiatives across its network continues to build a forward-looking academic community capable of thriving in a rapidly evolving technological environment.
As the University sustains its momentum in offering accessible, high-impact training, this workshop becomes a testament to MSEUF’s broader vision: a future-ready Envergan community built on innovation, collaboration, and continuous growth.
The initiative reflects the University’s commitment to Excellence and Service by advancing technology-driven learning and strengthening digital capabilities within and beyond the main campus. It demonstrates Unity and Fortitude as participants collaborate across campuses to build practical skills that support student-centered and innovation-oriented education.
