Sustainability director represents MSEUF as national finalist in Philippine Resilience Awards '25

Arby Lagman, director of the Sustainability Department of MSEUF, was named a national finalist in the Philippine Resilience Awards (PRA) 2025 and attended the awarding ceremony at Philippine Normal University in Manila, Nov. 24.

The PRA event honored individuals and institutions that contributed to climate change action, disaster risk reduction, and national resilience initiatives.

Lagman was recognized for leading the University’s efforts toward a safer, greener, and future-ready campus through programs that support sustainability, health, safety, and community protection.

Lagman said the recognition reinforces the University’s direction toward developing improved systems and campus-wide initiatives that promote long-term resilience.

“Expect new programs, improved systems, and campus-wide initiatives that champion sustainability at every level. Together, let’s build a campus that is safe, resilient, and sustainable,” he said.

The PRA was organized by the Climate Change Commission in partnership with the Office of Senator Loren Legarda, the Philippine Commission on Women, the National Resilience Council, the Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Societies, the Women’s International Network on Disaster Risk Resilience Philippines, and SM Prime.

Lagman’s recognition reflects the University’s commitment to Mindfulness and Service by prioritizing a campus environment grounded in safety and sustainability. It also demonstrates Excellence and Fortitude as the institution strengthens disaster preparedness and long-term resilience through strategic, future-oriented initiatives.
