3 criminology students top biology, DNA exam at HCU int'l mobility program
Three Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation students, Angel Villapando, Ma. Franchette Eunice Mabasa and Jasper Sante, earned the top scores in a Biology and DNA Examination at Huachiew Chalermprakiet University in Thailand after a lecture by Police Col. Orawan Subpaya, Scientist 3 of the Thailand Central Police Forensic Science Division.
Subpaya administered the written exam in biology and DNA. The trio belongs to the EU Flight international mobility program run by the Global Engagement Office, which deployed the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology’s second Forensic Science and Disaster Management cohort to HCU.
MSEUF replicated last year’s success under the same lecturer, when Envergan delegates also topped the written examination. “Back-to-back results show our students can meet international benchmarks in forensic biology and DNA analysis,” Dr. Henedina Lagumen, CCJC Dean, said. “They prepared well for the written assessment, and they proved their readiness in a high-stakes, real-world setting.”
This outcome advanced MSEUF’s mission to deliver transformative, student-centered, and outcomes-oriented learning by validating forensic competencies in an international venue. It lived the core values of Excellence through high performance, Fortitude under rigorous assessment, and Unity through cross-border academic collaboration.
