MSEUF, PRC Calabarzon forge partnership; aim to streamline PRC services, extend assistance to wider community
To streamline PRC services for the University and extend assistance to the wider community, the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) and the Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) Region IV-Calabarzon formalized a partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing of two documents, Jan. 22.
Under the first document, PRC will assign a focal person to manage transactions, process applications through online appointments, and schedule exclusive dates for MSEUF employees. MSEUF, in turn, will provide venues for mobile services, accommodations for PRC personnel if needed, and security during the activities. The University will also open these services to non-MSEUF employees as part of its community extension program.
For the second document, MSEUF committed to providing its facilities as a venue for PRC board examinations scheduled for 2025 to support for professional licensure processes and to service both its academic community and the broader public.
Dr. Benilda Villenas, officer-in-charge, office of the president, and vice president for academics and research, led the MSEUF delegation including Atty. Dario Opistan, vice president for administration; Carlito Rodriguez, vice president for finance; Celso Jaballa, vice president for external relations; Atty. Joseph Adolfo Ilagan, legal counsel; and Dr. Maria Sylvia Avila, human resource director.
Dr. Villenas emphasized the importance of the partnership in supporting professional development.
“This agreement aligns with MSEUF’s commitment to providing accessible opportunities for our community. We value this collaboration with PRC as it opens doors for better service and engagement,” Dr. Villenas said.
Regional Director Reynaldo Cristobal, Chief Dr. Raul Marquez, and Attorney III Atty. Marigirl March Abo, represented PRC Region IV-Calabarzon.
Dir. Cristobal expressed optimism about the collaboration. “We encounter challenges during exams with large number of takers, and having Enverga University as our new partner is a significant step forward. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a stronger partnership,” Dir. Cristobal said.
Atty. Opistan extended his gratitude on behalf of the university. “Thank you for choosing MSEUF as your partner. We are committed to ensuring the success of this collaboration,” Atty. Opistan said.
"The partnership reinforces both institutions’ efforts to enhance professional services, contributing to the University’s extension initiatives and PRC’s outreach to the community," said VP Jaballa emphasizing the importance of the partnership.
