LDC launches programs, services to EU student leaders

The newly established Learning Development Center (LDC) at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) successfully launched its programs and services to 47 student organizations at the AEC Little Theatre, Oct. 8.

A total of 235 student leaders attended the event, which was made possible through the collaboration of Mr. Roderick Rabina, OSO Coordinator, and the LDC College Coordinators.

LDC Director Reina V. Pasumbal welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the Center's two core functions: Student Development and Academic Support, and Micro-Credentialing and Skills Development. She emphasized that the Center aims to empower learners through targeted learning strategies.

Among the highlighted strategies were:

• Student Learning Community (SLC) – fostering collaborative learning among students.
• MC² (Mentoring and Coaching Culture) – encouraging peer-to-peer support and skill-sharing.
• ELLA (Enhancement of Learner’s Learning Agility) – promoting adaptability and continuous learning.

The event also introduced the Enverga University Micro-Credential Program (EUMCP), a new initiative designed to recognize students' skills and learning achievements through micro-credentials. Pasumbal discussed the advantages of the program, explaining how it supports students' personal growth and prepares them for future career opportunities.

The participating student leaders expressed enthusiasm for the LDC’s initiatives and committed to actively supporting the Center's programs moving forward. Both the LDC and the student organizations agreed to foster collaboration to enhance student learning experiences across the university.

In her closing remarks, Director Pasumbal left the attendees with the Center’s inspiring tagline, “Learn to live, live to learn.” The event marked the beginning of what promises to be a productive partnership between the Learning Development Center and the vibrant student community at MSEUF.
