BASIC LIFE SUPPORT TRAININGS
Basic Life Support (BLS) training plays a critical role in ensuring the well-being of individuals within a workplace or community setting. It is an integral component of a comprehensive health and safety program within an organization. It empowers employees to respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, aligning with the overarching goals of maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Health and Safety Officers play a key role in implementing and overseeing BLS training initiatives.
FIRST-AID TRAININGS
The Health and Safety Office in collaboration with Lucena City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO) conducts first aid training. It aims to strengthen disaster awareness and risk reduction measures through capacity-building programs.
QUARTERLY EARTHQUAKE DRILL
The University participates quarterly to the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill of the Office of the Civil Defense to simulate and improve the earthquake preparedness of the University.
SAFETY AUDIT
The Health and Safety Office conducts safety audits using a HIRAC form, ensuring a straightforward process. HIRAC stands for Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control. In essence, the audit involves identifying potential hazards, assessing associated risks, and implementing control measures. This systematic approach helps enhance workplace safety by identifying and addressing potential dangers, promoting a secure environment for all employees.
