As part of the "Basta Envergan, Ligtas sa Kapahamakan" program, the Health and Safety Office, in collaboration with the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Committee, the University Disaster Emergency Response Team (UDERT), and the Lucena City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LCDRRMO), conducted the 1st Quarter Earthquake Drill, Mar. 13.

The drill focused on the "duck, cover, and hold" procedure, reinforcing proper response techniques in the event of an earthquake. Faculty members, students, and staff participated, demonstrating their commitment to safety and preparedness.

"This drill is a crucial step in ensuring that our University community knows how to respond effectively during an earthquake. Preparedness saves lives, and through these regular exercises, we strengthen our collective ability to stay safe in times of disaster," Arby Lagman said, Head of the Health and Safety Office.

"This initiative aimed to enhance awareness of earthquake hazards, strengthen the University’s disaster risk reduction efforts, and ensure a swift and organized response in case of emergencies." Lagman added.

Through continuous training and drills, MSEUF remains steadfast in prioritizing the safety and well-being of its academic community, fostering a culture of preparedness and resilience.
