Enverga University takes a proactive step in disaster resilience by joining forces with the Quezon Educators Disaster Reduction and Management Organization (QuEDRRMO).

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) invited safety officers and DRRM focal persons of state universities and colleges and private higher education institutions for a coordination meeting on Aug. 30, at the Queen Margarette Hotel, Brgy. Domoit, Lucena City.

The meeting aims to synchronize and consolidate DRRM initiatives of schools in the province.  Arby Lagman, Health and Safety Officer, Dr. Maria Sylvia Avila, Human Resource Department Director, and Dr. Melo Justiniano, Chief of the Medical and Dental Services, represented the University in the meeting. Safety officers of affiliate schools also attended the meeting.

With the University’s commitment to collaborative disaster preparedness efforts, Lagman assumed the role of Vice President, while Dr. Avila was Secretary, both for Private Schools.

The oath-taking ceremony, on Nov. 6, for the newly elected officers by Governor Dr. Helen Tan was at the Quezon Provincial Government Office.

In collaboration with the PDRRMO, headed by Dr. Melchor Avenilla Jr., the QuEDRRMO comprises members from various cities and municipalities across Quezon. Their collective goal is to enhance knowledge regarding disaster preparedness and appropriate actions during calamities.

Enverga University's involvement in QuEDRRMO not only strengthens the collaborative network but also highlights the integral roles played by Enverga officers. The University brings its expertise to the community ensuring that it contributes significantly to the shared goal of effective disaster risk reduction and management in Quezon Province.Enverga University takes lead in QuEDRRMO with officers in key roles
