For Angeline Isabelle “Angge” Mendoza, every story is an opportunity to connect, inform, and inspire. As a first-year Bachelor of Arts in Communication student from the College of Arts and Sciences, she is already making her mark as a young communicator who believes in the power of responsible journalism and authentic storytelling.

Driven by curiosity, creativity, and a desire to amplify the voices of others, Angge represents a new generation of Envergans who are ready to engage with the world through communication.

Finding Her Voice Through Communication

Long before entering college, Angge already knew she was drawn to storytelling.

“What inspired me to take AB Communication is my passion for film and broadcasting."

“As someone who is adventurous and very talkative, I've always been drawn to learning and telling the stories of diverse people.”

For her, communication is more than speaking or reporting. It is about understanding people, sharing experiences, and creating meaningful connections.

“I want to explore the field of AB Communication not only to express creativity, but also to connect with others and give voices and experiences a platform to be heard.”

This passion continues to fuel her academic journey as she develops the skills needed to become an effective communicator and storyteller.

Reporting When It Matters Most

Among her many experiences, one moment stands out as particularly meaningful.

During Typhoon Uwan, Angge took the initiative to go to different locations and provide updates about the situation on the ground.

“My most memorable experience at Enverga University was when I deployed myself to different places during Typhoon Uwan to report what was really happening and provide updates."

What made the experience even more significant was the timing.

“I had just turned 18 the day before the typhoon, and it made me realize the importance of responsible and truthful journalism, especially during times of crisis.”

That experience strengthened her commitment to delivering accurate information and serving the public through responsible reporting.

It was a powerful reminder that journalism is not simply about covering events, it is about helping communities stay informed when they need it most.

Beyond Awards and Competitions

Angge has already earned recognition for her talents and dedication.

She qualified for the Asia Youth International Model United Nations, placed Second in the Division Schools Press Conference 2024, and was recognized as the Fifth Best Anchor in the Division Schools Press Conference 2025.

Yet despite these achievements, she believes that the true measure of a journalist goes beyond awards.

“As a student-journalist in a division full of competitive journalists, I realized that competing in competitions will not define my value as a journalist."

For Angge, success is rooted in purpose.

“Embodying the real essence of being a journalist is already a win for me.”

This perspective reflects a maturity beyond her years and a deep understanding of the responsibility that comes with the profession.

A Place Filled with Opportunities

As she begins her journey at Enverga University, Angge continues to embrace every opportunity to learn, grow, and serve.

Whether through journalism, broadcasting, public speaking, or leadership experiences, she remains committed to developing her skills while staying true to the values of integrity and authenticity.

To future students considering where to pursue their dreams, she offers a simple message:

“If you're looking for a school that's full of opportunities, then Enverga University is for you!”

A Story Still Being Written

At only 18 years old, Angeline Isabelle Mendoza has already shown what it means to pursue excellence with purpose. Through journalism, communication, and public service, she is learning that every story matters, and that sometimes, the most important stories are those that help others find their voice.

Angeline Isabelle “Angge” Mendoza continues to grow as a young storyteller through the opportunities she found at Enverga University. Through MSEUF, Angge continues to explore her talents, build her confidence, and tell stories with purpose.
