Tourism students join 3-day tour guiding seminar, workshop
Second-year students from the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) program at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) participated in the 3-Day Tour Guiding Seminar and Workshop for their ITM111 - Tour Guiding Class.
The first batch attended the sessions from October 8 to 16, 2024.Mr. Romano Del Rosario and Mr. Lester Uriarte, accredited trainers from the Department of Tourism (DOT) conducted the training.
Ms. Rose Anne U. Reyes, faculty adviser, coordinated and supervised the activity.
The seminar and workshop gave students practical knowledge and training aligned with the standards of the tourism and hospitality industry. It also helped them develop skills in handling tours, communicating with guests, and understanding the role of tour guides in promoting culture and tourism.
- This initiative is part of the university’s efforts to ensure that students are prepared for real-world experiences in the tourism sector.
