4th-year tourism students complete OJT at Airport Ground Support Solutions
Twelve fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management students from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation completed their On-the-Job Training at the Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions, Inc. in Manila from March 28 to April 22, 2025.
The students assigned for the training were Maria Rovielyn Untalan, Sarah Jhane G. Platino, Gian Franco P. Hernandez, Alexandra Danielly N. Baysa, John Denver Q. Mejia, Angela Faith M. Laureles, Michelle Lagrama, Nikka Andrea L. Fagarita, Jennilyn R. Jabonete, Noemi P. Ilagan, Arabella A. Manangan, Alexandra Nicole A. Hular, and Cecilia Daniela A. Banagan.
“We were exposed to actual airport operations and learned how ground support contributes to airline efficiency,” said student trainee Gian Franco P. Hernandez. “This experience helped us understand our role in the tourism industry more clearly.”
The students gained practical insights into the inner workings of airport procedures, aligning with the University’s mission to offer responsive programs that support national development goals and global standards. The training also promoted professionalism and leadership skills, as stated in the University’s educational philosophy.
“This OJT showed us the discipline and precision needed in real-world operations,” said Angela Faith M. Laureles. “It was different from the classroom, but we were prepared.”
