CIHTM dean completes SIKAT program to enhance sustainable tourism education

Dr. Maricel Herrera, Professor and Dean of the College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (CIHTM) at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF), successfully completed the “Sustainable and Innovative Knowledge Application for Tourism (SIKAT)” program. 

The program, funded by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), was conducted by Universidad de Alicante in Spain.

Dr. Herrera expressed her pride in this accomplishment.

"The SIKAT program has broadened my perspective on sustainable tourism practices and equipped me with valuable insights to enhance our educational offerings at CIHTM," sheDr. Herrera said.

The SIKAT program focused on equipping educators with cutting-edge knowledge on sustainable tourism, aligning with MSEUF’s mission to offer responsive and innovative programs.

Dr. Herrera’s participation underscores the university’s commitment to providing its students with high-quality, globally competitive education in the hospitality and tourism industry.
