Computer science and information technology students from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation College of Computing and Multimedia Studies (CCMS) learned how modern businesses use enterprise systems during a free Odoo ERP seminar conducted by Odev Solutions Co. at CL03 on the main campus, Oct. 28.

The session was led by Rainier King, CEO, and Jimuel Atienza, President of Odev Solutions Co., who personally discussed how Odoo, a fast-growing open-source enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform, supports integrated business operations in real-world organizations. The event was held in coordination with the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies.

The three-hour seminar, titled “Empowering Businesses with Odoo ERP: A Functional and Development Introduction,” introduced students to core Odoo modules and how these support processes such as sales, inventory, and operations.

It also presented Odoo’s architecture and development stack, giving aspiring developers a clearer view of how enterprise systems are built, configured, and customized for clients.

Resource speakers from Odev Solutions demonstrated a live feature development scenario inside Odoo, guiding participants from a sample client requirement to implementation. The technical segment helped students connect programming concepts learned in class with configurable, industry-grade systems used by companies.

Dean Rodrigo Belleza Jr. of the CCMS emphasized the importance of industry collaboration in preparing students for technology careers.

“Our partnership with industry leaders like Odev Solutions strengthens the real-world exposure of our students and helps them stay aligned with current tools and practices,” Belleza said.

The seminar also highlighted career paths in ERP, including Odev Solutions’ work as an implementation partner and the internship and employment opportunities available for students who wish to specialize in Odoo. Faculty members noted that early exposure to enterprise tools gives Envergans a competitive edge in technology-driven workplaces.

By offering the seminar free of charge, Odev Solutions and MSEUF opened the activity to a wider group of students from information technology, computer science, information systems, and related programs, reinforcing the university’s commitment to accessible, industry-aligned training.

This event supports MSEUF’s mission to provide transformative, real-world learning experiences by linking classroom theory with live demonstrations of enterprise technologies that drive modern organizations. It reflects the university’s core values of Excellence and Service, while promoting Unity through partnerships that connect students, faculty, and industry.
