CCMS launches Bachelor of Multimedia Arts for AY 2026-2027
College of Computing and Multimedia Studies (CCMS) of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) will offer the Bachelor of Multimedia Arts (BMMA) beginning Academic Year 2026-2027 to provide students specialized training in visual graphics, video production and game design without the heavy programming load of traditional computing programs.
Students can choose from three specialization tracks—Visual Graphics, Video or Game Design—designed to strengthen creative and technical competencies aligned with industry needs.
Asst. Prof. John Rover Sinag, BMMA program coordinator, explained that the new degree responded to insights gained from more than five years of offering the Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing.
“Since we have offered Entertainment and Multimedia Computing for more than five years and produced four batches of graduates, we identified that the program has many programming courses,” Asst. Prof. Sinag said.
“We understand the value of scientific and computing subjects, but we found that it can overwhelm students who want to focus more on the creative side. BMMA provides that balanced pathway.” Asst. Prof. Sinag added.
Asst. Prof. Sinag added that the curriculum exceeds the minimum requirements set by the Commission on Higher Education and adapts to emerging technologies.
“Our BMMA curriculum goes beyond the prescribed standards and remains flexible enough to integrate developments such as generative AI and evolving multimedia tools,” he said.
He also emphasized the College’s competitive advantages.
“CCMS offers state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories, and our faculty members bring diverse industry experience that we share with our students. Students can also earn microcredentials through Coursera, obtain global certifications through our partnership with IT Works as a Certiport Testing Center, and access high-performance machines anytime through CloudSwyft.”
With the introduction of BMMA, CCMS strengthened its commitment to producing industry-ready creatives equipped with both artistic vision and technological competence.
The launch of the BMMA program reflected the University’s commitment to Excellence and Innovation by expanding responsive and future-ready academic offerings. It also advanced outcomes-oriented and student-centered education by providing specialized pathways that align with industry trends and global certification standards.
