Instructor Mary Meliza Parcon, a faculty member of the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies, was among the EUdolong Guro awardees recognized by the Human Resource Department during the “EUdolo at Inspirasyon” Teachers’ Day celebration at Casa Segunda, Enverga University, Lucena City, Oct. 9.

Parcon was among the ten awardees from different academic units, alongside Dr. Benilda Villenas, the longest-serving faculty member and OIC of the Office of the President, who received the “Gintong EUdolo” award.

Parcon received the highest evaluation rating from her students among the CCMS faculty members.

“Although a neophyte faculty member, we can clearly see her passion as a faculty member. Aside from having the highest evaluation rating among the CCMS faculty members, she contributes to the department in her own ways, such as establishing a partnership with DataCamp for our Data Science students, among others,” CCMS Dean Rodrigo Belleza shared.

The event, organized by the College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (CIHTM) and the Human Resource Department, featured a student-produced AVP and several tribute performances.

This recognition of exemplary teaching advances SDG 4 (Quality Education) by elevating instructional excellence and supporting teacher development. The University’s collaboration with DataCamp strengthens SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through industry–academe engagement that expands student opportunities. By building students’ data skills and career readiness, the initiative also supports SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), promoting productive employment and relevant competencies.
