To support accurate incident reporting and safe firearm practices, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) trained security personnel and emergency response team members from the University and its affiliated schools on Oct. 19, 2026, at the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology Defense and Tactics Room in Lucena City.
The College of Arts and Sciences Community Extension Service organized “Building Safer Grounds: Incident Report Writing Training and Gun Safety for MSEUF and Affiliate Schools” in partnership with the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology.
College of Arts and Sciences faculty member Mickaella Rane Torres and Range Master and Chief Range Officer Arlon Bables served as resource speakers during the full-day program.
The morning session covered incident report writing and proper documentation. Participants applied the discussion in a practical workshop based on security scenarios.
Afternoon lectures and demonstrations addressed responsible firearm handling, safe storage and accident prevention. Situational exercises, evaluation, feedback and a post-assessment followed the sessions.
The program involved College of Criminal Justice and Criminology Community Extension Service Chairperson Dr. Denis Gonzales, Sustainability Department Head Arby Lagman and College of Arts and Sciences Community Extension Service Chairperson Joshua Daniel Aaron Jalos.
The activity gave personnel from the main campus and affiliated schools opportunities to review security procedures and practice their documentation skills. The program concluded with the awarding of certificates and closing remarks.
The training supported MSEUF’s commitment to employee development and a safe learning environment. It reflected Mindfulness through attention to accurate documentation and accident prevention, Service through the responsibilities of campus safety personnel, and Unity through cooperation across colleges and affiliated schools.
