Preparing students to represent the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies in the upcoming University Intramurals, the CyberCouncil, the CCMS Departmental Student Council, partnered with MASTECH to conduct the Cyberlympics Tryouts on Aug. 27-28 at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation.

The two-day activity featured competitions in basketball, volleyball, badminton, pickleball, table tennis, chess and Mobile Legends, along with the selection process for Ms. CCMS. Events took place at the Twin Court, iLounge and CCMS Lecture Room.

CyberCouncil and MASTECH facilitated the registration, screening and evaluation of participants across the different categories. Students competed in their respective events, allowing organizers to assess their skills, performance and readiness to represent the college.

The tryouts aimed to identify qualified representatives while promoting sportsmanship, camaraderie, leadership and active student participation within the CCMS community.

Beyond team selection, the activity provided students with opportunities to showcase their athletic, esports and performance abilities while strengthening teamwork and connections with fellow students.

Through the Cyberlympics Tryouts, CCMS prepared its representatives for University-wide competition while promoting student engagement, school spirit and pride within the college.

The activity supported the University’s commitment to holistic and student-centered development by providing opportunities for students to demonstrate their abilities beyond the classroom. It also reflected the core values of Excellence, Unity and Fortitude through healthy competition, teamwork, discipline and commitment to representing the college.

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being — The sports competitions encouraged physical activity, wellness and healthy participation among students.
  • SDG 4: Quality Education — The tryouts supported holistic student development by strengthening teamwork, leadership, discipline and other competencies developed through extracurricular participation.
