CCMS hosts Cyber Eskwela ’25; provides free short courses to 2 public high schools
The College of Computing and Multimedia Studies (CCMS) of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) conducted its flagship Community Extension Service (CES) Program, Cyber Eskwela, providing free short courses to public high school students.
On Feb. 22, students from Buenaventura Alandy National High School in Tayabas City participated in a full-day session, followed by students from Quezon National High School in Lucena City on Mar. 8. The initiative aimed to equip participants with digital skills relevant to multimedia and game development.
Cyber Eskwela featured three parallel sessions, each led by faculty members of the BS Entertainment and Multimedia Computing program. Asst. Prof. John Rover Sinag facilitated "Mastering Adobe Photoshop," Reimarc Dalay conducted a session on Unity Game Development, and Erika Marca led a discussion on Graphic Illustrations using Adobe Illustrator.
Officers and members of the Philippine Society of IT Students - MSEUF Chapter, the Department Student Council (Cyber Council), and CCMS faculty members also attended the program as volunteers, assisting in the event’s facilitation.
CCMS alumni Camille Merene, Kristine Kaye Bala, Cjae Limos, and Christian Jaime De Mesa sponsored the event, covering expenses for lunch and snacks for volunteers and speakers.
Associate Professor Susana De Castro, CCMS CES Coordinator, expressed gratitude to the participants and faculty members who made the program successful.
“We are committed to sharing our expertise with the community. By equipping students with digital skills, we empower them for future opportunities in technology and creative industries,” De Castro said.
One of the participants shared appreciation for the program, emphasizing the impact of the workshop.
"This is the best workshop I have attended. I learned so much, and the instructors made it easy to understand," the student said.
CCMS continues to extend learning opportunities beyond the University, reinforcing its mission to contribute to the development of digital literacy and technical proficiency among public high school students.
