To evaluate its academic quality against international standards, the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation underwent assessment by the ASEAN University Network–Quality Assurance (AUN-QA), April 21 to 23.
The AUN-QA assessment reviewed key areas including expected learning outcomes, curriculum, teaching methods, faculty qualifications and facilities, using a seven-point scale focused on outcomes-based education and continuous improvement.
Rodrigo Belleza Jr., dean of the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies, led the preparation of requirements, including the Self-Assessment Report (SAR), with the BSIT SAR team composed of its staff and faculty members Senior Confidential Staff Sherry Ann Abrigo, Assoc. Prof. Donabell Hernandez, Engr. Roselyn Maaño, Asst. Prof. Cheeky Rose Villamarzo, Asst. Prof. John Rover Sinag, Ms. Mary Meliza Parcon and Dr. Jose Tan. Jr.
Dean Belleza said the assessment provided an opportunity to evaluate the program’s strengths and identify areas for improvement.
“Through this program assessment, we can offer a better program and understand our current standing aligned with global standards,” Dean Belleza said.
Dean Belleza noted that the evaluation allowed the institution to reflect on best practices and enhance the quality of its IT program in line with international benchmarks.
As an associate member of the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance, Enverga University participated in the 513th AUN-QA program assessment for Information Technology, Nursing, Tourism Management and Criminology.
