Completed2022

Abstract

In the new normal, flexible learning has been the basic and most common fundamental of learning today due to pandemic. For three years now, Covid-19 Pandemic remains a big challenge for college students who are in a program that requires physical and hands-on training. This included police trainees that need physical training and hands-on training for them to be well-equipped and prepared for the focus of their profession. One of the big questions there for today is how criminology students be able to cope with physical training whereas they have been used to flexible learning. This research aims to assess the level of effectiveness and determine the impact of flexible learning on knowledge adaptation and skills enhancement while evaluating the problems encountered by police trainees. This study utilized the descriptive quantitative design and made use of survey questionnaires. This study discussed that the majority of police trainees were males under the age of 21-25. Flexible learning was deemed effective in terms of physical assertiveness, guidance through modern-day learning and understanding, investigative skills, and leadership skills among the best answers. Minor issues were only found in the learning modality like lack of social interactions. All in all, the study recommended continuing the improvement of training of police trainees and embracing the flexible learning modality with new competences under the law enforcement training. For the final output, a brochure will be given that discusses the impacts of flexible learning to knowledge development and skills enhancements on the law enforcement trainees that will help trainees, police stations, and officers.
