Challenges Encountered by the Selected Elementary Teachers of Macalelon, Quezon in the Modular Learning System

Abstract

The research study is gathered data and information about the challenges encountered by the selected elementary teachers of Macalelon, Quezon in the modular learning system under the new normal education. The study conducted to the elementary teachers of Macalelon, Quezon using the quantitative method to gathered data about the challenges encountered of elementary teachers in the modular learning system. The researcher used survey questionnaire as a research instrument to administer the challenges of elementary teachers under the new normal education. The result of the study are more 41 to 50 years old female teachers with 16 to 20 years in service who encountered challenges in the modular learning in terms of printing of modules, distribution of modules, and retrieval of modules. With the coping strategies of elementary teachers in the challenges encountered in modular learning system under new normal education are, to follow the class program and weekly home learning plan, to be on time in submitting learning modules and to have weekly reminder to the community through community leader to remind the parents and students to the schedule of the distribution and retrieval of modules every week. The study recommends that Department of Education hire teachers who are willing to work hard during the new normal education that can help to improve the learning skills of the students. Teachers and parents should attend seminars and webinars that can help them to learn new strategies that may apply to the students during in the modular leaning system under new normal education.
