Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed a lot of things. It puts a scare among all of us since it is highly communicable. It affects population groups, and it does not exclude health professionals. The purpose of this study was to explore the lived experiences of health professionals after they have recovered from the disease. It aimed to bring in-depth knowledge and understanding of what they experienced and are still experiencing after their recovery. The researchers utilized an interview guide (one-on-one) via different online platforms with health professionals who have been diagnosed and recovered from COVID-19. It was transcribed, and then the researchers utilized Colaizzi’s method of phenomenological analysis. The exploration of the lived experiences of healthcare professionals after recovering from COVID-19 arrived with six (6) themes, namely: Relief and Gratitude, Resilience and Determination, Emotional Toll, Appreciation for the Work, Concern for Ongoing Pandemic, and Appreciation for the Support. The results of the study hope to strengthen programs that will look after the welfare of healthcare professionals.
