Abstract

Agricultural sector continues to rely on traditional farming practices leaving smallholder farmers with limited access to markets, inadequate infrastructure, and weak bargaining power. Farmers tend to rely on intermediaries forcing them to accept low prices for their produce resulting to reduced income. These challenges underscore the need for an innovative solution that directly connects farmers with consumers to promote fairer trading. The study developed an AgriMarket Hub, a digital marketplace platform for the agricultural sector. The system was created using the Agile methodology, involving iterative phases of analysis, design, coding, and testing. System features include listing products, managing orders, and tracking demand. Consumers can access an intuitive system for browsing and purchasing. Black- box test was conducted with farmers and consumers to ensure reliability and usability. The evaluation revealed strong performance, with high satisfaction ratings for functionality (4.52), efficiency (4.42), and usability (4.65). The results demonstrate the platform’s potential use to transform agricultural trade by promoting more inclusive, efficient, and sustainable market participation for Filipino farmers.
