MSEUF CNAHS leads health outreach for community, student development

The College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (CNAHS) at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) strengthened its commitment to public health through a Medical Mission Community Outreach Program aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3) Good Health and Well-Being, Feb. 9.

The program provided essential healthcare services to community members while offering valuable hands-on training for nursing students.

The outreach program, organized in collaboration with MSEUF’s Community Relations Department and Medical-Dental Services, benefited hundreds of residents with blood pressure monitoring, health assessments, and preventive education on nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices.

Under the leadership of Dean Maria Corazon B. Valdeavilla, the college aims to address regional health challenges, enhance healthcare education, and promote wellness through these programs. The activity showcased the university’s dedication to building trust with the community and empowering its students to become skilled and compassionate healthcare providers.

This initiative also aligns with MSEUF-CNAHS’s goal of equipping students with real-world healthcare experience, encouraging them to continue serving the community beyond their academic journey.

By integrating public service, health education, and student development, MSEUF’s CNAHS plays an active role in fostering sustainable health practices in the region.

   

CNAHS celebrates 6th MedTech Week; partners with PH Red Cross for blood donation drive

College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (CNAHS) at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) marked the 6th MedTech Week by organizing a Blood Donation Drive in collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross Quezon Chapter, Sept. 20.

Held on campus, the event brought together students, faculty, and volunteers to donate blood for local hospitals, reinforcing the university’s commitment to public health and Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being).

Dr. Carmina Tolentino, Chairperson of the Medical Technology Program, highlighted the significance of the initiative. "This activity aligns with our commitment to SDG 3 by promoting health and saving lives in our community," Dr. Tolentino said.

The week-long celebration also included seminars and student competitions aimed at increasing awareness of the vital role medical technologists play in the healthcare system.

The Blood Donation Drive exemplified the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences' dedication to advancing health, fostering community engagement, and making a lasting impact through sustainability initiatives.

MSEUF Nursing students lead cleanup drive to support SDGs

Nursing students and faculty members from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) Colleg of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (CNASH) organized a successful cleanup drive at Sitio Santa Teresa, Brgy. Dalahican, Lucena City. Oct. 29

The volunteers collected more than 500 kilograms of waste, including plastic bottles, food wrappers, and other non-biodegradable materials.

Beyond cleaning the area, volunteers also engaged with residents to discuss the importance of proper waste management and its direct impact on health and well-being.

"This cleanup effort aligns with our mission to support SDG 3 by fostering healthier, cleaner communities," said Mr. Rolando Remojo, CES Coordinator of the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences.

The MSEUF CNAHS plans to make the cleanup drive a regular activity, demonstrating its ongoing dedication to creating a cleaner and more sustainable community for Lucena City residents. The initiative reflects MSEUF’s goal to empower students and promote public health through collaborative efforts with local communities.
