Traditional multimedia projectors, once a staple in classrooms, have now been replaced with high-definition Smart Televisions seamlessly integrated into the newly installed glassboards, which replaced conventional chalkboards. This upgrade ensures clearer visuals, better image resolution, and interactive instruction, enhancing the delivery of lectures and presentations while creating a more conducive and professional classroom ambiance.
Furthermore, select classrooms and laboratories, particularly within the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies (CCMS), are now equipped with interactive boards. These cutting-edge boards allow instructors to facilitate dynamic discussions, live coding demonstrations, and real-time multimedia presentations. This empowers students to participate actively in class exercises, deepens their understanding of complex concepts, and develops their critical thinking and technical skills.
Importantly, this improvement covers a wide range of academic units, ensuring maximum impact across disciplines. The departments included in these upgrades are the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology; Arts and Sciences; Education; Engineering; Business and Accountancy; Architecture and Fine Arts; Computing and Multimedia Studies; International Hospitality and Tourism Management; Maritime Education; and Basic Education. This comprehensive implementation demonstrates the University’s commitment to equitable access to advanced learning technologies for all students.
While the University already maintains Educational Media Resource Centers equipped with modern audiovisual facilities such as LED walls for large-scale presentations and events, this latest initiative brings state-of-the-art audiovisual integration directly within the reach of every classroom. Advanced learning technologies are no longer confined to select venues but are now embedded in daily teaching and learning processes, enhancing accessibility and enriching instructional delivery across programs.
In addition to improving the teaching and learning experience, this initiative aligns with the University’s energy sustainability goals. By replacing traditional high-energy-consuming projectors with energy-efficient Smart Televisions, MSEUF significantly reduces its classroom energy consumption and carbon footprint, supporting its commitment to environmental stewardship, energy conservation, and compliance with RA 11285 or the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act.
University President Madame Naila E.
