University Mascot Design and Naming Contest

Mascot Design Requirements

Eligibility: Open to all currently enrolled students, faculty, employees, and alumni of the University (junior high school up to tertiary level). Each participant may submit one entry only.

The Mascot Should:

Reflect University Spirit and Values

Represent the university’s character, history, culture, and academic/athletic excellence. The participant must use the wildcat animal as the basis for the design and description.

Be Appropriate for All Audiences
The design must be suitable for use in a wide range of settings, including family-friendly events, academic functions, and athletic competitions.

Demonstrate Originality
All artwork must be original. Submissions must not infringe on existing copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property.

Be Visually Versatile
Should be recognizable and effective in various applications: digital media, print, merchandise, signage, and in-person mascot costumes.

Design File Specifications

    • Format: JPEG, PNG, or PDF
    • Resolution: 300 dpi or higher
The Mascot Name Should:
  1. Be creative, memorable, and meaningful.
  2. Reflect the mascot’s personality, backstory, or symbolic role.
  3. Be easy to pronounce and appropriate for public use.
  4. Avoid cultural insensitivity, inappropriate language, or offensive innuendos.
  5. Include a short explanation (100–150 words) of why the name and design were chosen and what they represent.
Terms and Conditions:
  • All submitted designs and names become the property of the University.
  • The University reserves the right to modify, refine, or combine elements of entries as needed.
  • The selected mascot may be adapted for costumes, logos, marketing, etc., and may undergo professional refinement.
  • Participants grant the university non-exclusive, royalty-free rights to reproduce, display, and distribute their submissions.
