Celebrating Mindfulness, Service, Excellence, Unity, and Fortitude

I. Objective:
The GAWAD MANUEL: Stellar Achievers Award celebrates the exceptional performance and contributions of faculty and non-teaching staff at Enverga University. This award fosters a culture of appreciation, recognition, and motivation, aligning with the MSEUF Core Values: Mindfulness, Service, Excellence, Unity, and Fortitude.

II. Eligibility:
All faculty and non-teaching staff members of Enverga University, regardless of rank or department, are eligible for nomination.

III. Award Categories and Criteria:

Awards will be given to nominees demonstrating excellence in MSEUF Core Values:

  • Mindfulness: Exhibiting self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and compassion.
  • Service: Dedication to community service, social responsibility, and support for colleagues and students.
  • Excellence: Commitment to high standards of performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Unity: Promotion of teamwork, inclusivity, and a harmonious workplace.
  • Fortitude: Resilience, mental toughness, and perseverance in adversity.

IV. Program Mechanics:

1. Nomination Process:

Monthly Nominations:

  • Faculty and staff may nominate colleagues or employees from other departments based on their outstanding demonstration of the MSEUF Core Values.
  • Nominations are due by the 20th of each month using the Rating and Justification Sheet.

2. Rating and Justification Sheet:

  • Each nominee will be rated on specific criteria aligned with each core value, using the following rating scale:
    • Excellent (100%-96%)
    • Very Good (95%-91%)
    • Good (90%-85%)
  • Each core value must be accompanied by brief comments justifying the rating. These comments should provide examples or context demonstrating how the nominee fulfilled the criteria.
  • Rating Calculations: Points for each category will be averaged to determine the nominee's score for each core value. The scores from all categories will be summed up to calculate the overall performance score.

3. Evaluation Process:

  • Review and Scoring: HRD reviews nominations and calculates final scores based on justifications.
  • Management Approval: Successful nominees with the highest scores will be presented to the Management for final approval.
  • Monthly Winners: Upon Management approval, the nominee with the highest score in each category is recognized as "Mindfulness Achiever," "Service Achiever," etc.
  • Tiebreaker: Quality and impact of justification will determine the winner in case of a tie

4. Monthly, Semi-Annual, and Year-End Recognition:

  • Monthly Recognition: Winners are announced on the first Friday of the following month during department meetings, and achievements are posted on the University website and HRD Facebook page.
  • Semi-Annual Recognition (August): Employees consistently demonstrating all five core values over the five-month period receive the MSEUF Stellar Achiever Award.
  • Year-End Stellar Achiever Excellence Award: Consistent recipients of the Stellar Achiever Award will be honored at the year-end GAWAD MANUEL ceremony, with a cash prize of Php 5,000.

5. Feedback and Evaluation:

  • Staff Feedback: HRD collects feedback from employees regarding the program for continuous improvement.
  • Annual Program Evaluation: HRD conducts an annual review to ensure the program aligns with the objectives of fostering a positive and motivating work environment.

V. Implementation Timeline:

  • January: Introduction of the GAWAD MANUEL: Stellar Achievers Award program to all
    departments.
  • February: Program launch and first nominations for Mindfulness, Service, Excellence, Unity, and Fortitude Achievers.
  •  August: Recognition of the first batch of Gawad Manuel Stellar Achievers for consistent excellence over five months.
  • February 2026: Formal Stellar Achiever Excellence Award presentation at the MSEUF Faculty and Employees Congress.
