GSD project engineer completes SO2 certification
Engr. Marlou Quincena, project engineer of the General Services Department (GSD) at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) completed a 40-hour Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) training for Safety Officer 2 (SO2) certification.
Jolize Safety Training Center the training, held Jan. 11, 12, 18, and 19 in Quezon City.
The certification complies with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) guidelines under Republic Act No. 11058, “An Act Strengthening Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards and Providing Penalties for Violations Thereof.”
Enverga University funded the training as part of its Employee Development Program to enhance staff competencies.
“This training ensures compliance with occupational safety standards and promotes safe construction practices. I appreciate the University for its support in this initiative,” Quincena said.
The COSH training equips participants with the knowledge to address workplace hazards and implement safety measures in construction projects.
