Comparative learning through international quality assurance collaboration
MSEUF further strengthened its engagement with international higher education practices through the ASEAN-QA Training on Internal Quality Assurance (TrainIQA) 2025.
Leah Salas, acting director of the Office of Quality Improvement and corporate planning and development officer, completed the program alongside 28 selected participants from universities across the ASEAN region.
The program included workshops in Bangkok in March, Potsdam and Berlin in August, and Surabaya in December. During these engagements, participants interacted with international quality assurance experts and visited German higher education institutions.
The ASEAN-QA Forum provided opportunities to discuss shared quality assurance challenges, institutional best practices and regional collaboration in higher education management.
TrainIQA formed part of the Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies Programme, jointly coordinated by the German Academic Exchange Service and German Rectors' Conference, with support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
The program supported international exchange on internal quality assurance, contributing to MSEUF's efforts to strengthen institutional effectiveness and educational quality in line with SDG 4 and SDG 17.
