Representatives from the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) Health, Safety and Sustainability Department (HSASD) participated in a two-day Workshop on Risk Assessment and Investment Planning organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-PENRO) Quezon in October 2025 to strengthen climate risk assessment and resilience planning for local development.

The workshop, conducted in partnership with UN-Habitat and the DENR Climate Change Service, brought together representatives from government agencies, academic institutions and other organizations to examine climate-related risks and identify appropriate investments that could support climate-resilient communities.
Participants explored approaches to integrating climate risk assessments into local development planning, identifying priority investment areas and improving strategies for addressing environmental vulnerabilities. The discussions highlighted the importance of evidence-based planning in helping local government units respond to climate change and strengthen community resilience.
Through its participation, MSEUF engaged in a multisectoral initiative that connected academic institutions with government agencies and development partners working toward climate adaptation and sustainable development.
The activity reinforced the University's commitment to environmental sustainability, research-informed decision-making and cooperation with government institutions. It also reflected MSEUF's core values of Service, Unity and Excellence by supporting collaborative approaches to environmental challenges and community development.
The workshop contributed to broader efforts to strengthen climate-responsive planning in Quezon Province by promoting risk assessment, strategic investment planning and coordination among development stakeholders.
