Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) continues to support students' access to higher education through institutional and externally funded scholarship programs that provide tuition assistance and other educational benefits. These initiatives reflect the University's commitment to making quality education more accessible and helping students pursue their academic goals.
Through the Office of Scholarships and Endowment, Job Placement and Alumni Relations, MSEUF administers scholarship opportunities for students with different qualifications and circumstances. These include academic scholarships, foundation grants, loyalty benefits, service grants, athletic scholarships, and financial assistance supported by government agencies and private organizations.
Institutional and external scholarship assistance
MSEUF provides various forms of financial assistance through its institutional scholarship programs, including the Enverga Entrance Scholarship, Maroon and White Honor Scholarship, foundation grants, and other educational benefits.
The University also facilitates externally funded assistance through partnerships and scholarship arrangements involving the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), SM Foundation, Gokongwei Foundation, and alumni sponsors.
According to the University's Certificate of Existence of Scholarship Programs, dated March 25, 2026, MSEUF reported 1,699 scholarship grantees for the first semester of academic year 2025–2026. A subsequent certificate dated June 1, 2026, reported 1,796 scholarship grantees for the second semester of the same academic year.
These figures represent the University's reported scholarship beneficiaries across various assistance categories. They do not exclusively represent students who received financial aid because of poverty.
Supporting students through academic scholarship opportunities
On June 23, 2025, MSEUF conducted an orientation for the first batch of Maroon and White Honor Scholarship grantees at the EMRC Main.
The activity, facilitated by the Office of Scholarships and Endowment, Job Placement and Alumni Relations, included an explanation of scholarship conditions and the signing of scholarship agreements.
Of the 48 scholarship passers, 29 had confirmed their enrollment as of the University's June 27, 2025, report. The scholarship offered different levels of assistance, including full coverage of tuition, miscellaneous and auxiliary fees for the top 10 scholars, as well as 100% and 50% tuition discounts for other qualified recipients.
The University continued its scholarship initiatives in 2026 through the Enverga Entrance Scholarship Program. On June 10, 2026, MSEUF recognized 73 scholarship qualifiers at the AEC Little Theater.
The program drew 545 applicants from 87 senior high schools across Quezon Province and neighboring areas. Of the 73 qualifiers, the top 10 received scholarship awards covering tuition and miscellaneous fees for four years, subject to University scholarship policies and retention requirements. Another 25 qualified for full tuition scholarships, while 38 qualified for 50% tuition scholarships, both valid for one academic year.
These initiatives demonstrate MSEUF's continuing efforts to recognize academic achievement and provide financial support that can reduce the cost of higher education for qualified students.
Contributing to SDG 1: No Poverty
MSEUF's financial assistance initiatives contribute to the broader objectives of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 1: No Poverty, particularly by providing educational support that can help students manage the cost of pursuing higher education.
The initiatives also relate to Indicator 1.2.1 of the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings, which measures the proportion of students receiving significant financial assistance specifically because of poverty.
While the University's documented scholarship programs demonstrate the availability and implementation of financial assistance, a separate assessment of students' financial circumstances is necessary to determine how many recipients qualify as low-income beneficiaries under this indicator.
Through its scholarship programs and partnerships, MSEUF continues to uphold its institutional values of Service, Excellence, and Fortitude while supporting students in their pursuit of higher education.
