MSEUF strengthens 100% renewable energy pledge through seminar, awareness survey

The Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation MSEUF reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability and environmental leadership through the 100 Renewable Energy Pledge, highlighted by a survey on renewable energy awareness and a seminar on best practices in power quality conducted on Sept. 7.

The event was actively participated by the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) MSEUF Student Chapter, in collaboration with the IIEE Quezon Chapter and IIEE Northern Quezon, as part of the University’s continuing initiatives to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy advocacy among students and professionals.

The Renewable Energy Pledge Survey gathered insights from students, faculty, and campus personnel regarding their awareness, perceptions, and commitment to renewable energy adoption. The survey aimed to strengthen MSEUF’s sustainability programs by identifying areas for increased engagement and by aligning campus energy initiatives with the University’s long-term goal of achieving 100% renewable energy utilization.

In support of this goal, a seminar on Best Practices in Power Quality was attended to equip students and faculty members with essential knowledge on efficient power management, energy conservation, and system reliability. Resource speakers from the IIEE Quezon Chapter shared valuable expertise on maintaining optimal energy performance and reducing technical losses in electrical systems, underscoring the importance of professional collaboration in advancing renewable energy use.

The seminar also emphasized how proper power quality management directly supports MSEUF’s renewable energy transition—ensuring that the University’s systems remain efficient, safe, and compatible with clean energy technologies such as solar power.

Through the combined efforts of the IIEE MSEUF Student Chapter, IIEE Quezon Chapter, and IIEE Northern Quezon Chapter participants were inspired to take active roles in promoting responsible energy use, not only within the University but also in their future careers as engineers and innovators.

The event concluded with a reaffirmation of MSEUF’s 100% Renewable Energy Pledge, encouraging all participants to contribute to the University’s mission of sustainability and carbon reduction. This initiative forms part of MSEUF’s broader Carbon Management and Energy Efficiency Program, which integrates renewable energy adoption, research, and community education in support of a cleaner and more sustainable future.

By engaging students, professionals, and the community, MSEUF continues to uphold its vision of being a university for the people and the planet—driving innovation, environmental responsibility, and transformative change through education and collaboration.
