Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s Human Resource Department delivered year-round mental health support for employees in Lucena City through E-Kumustahan wellness check-ins on AY 2024-2025, a neurodiversity seminar, a stress-management webinar, and a higher-education neurodiversity workshop to strengthen well-being, inclusivity, and access to help.
HRD’s 14th E-Kumustahan session focused on work–life balance and time management strategies with an Ateneo resource speaker and small-group dialogues that encouraged employees to voice concerns and seek guidance.
HRD trained teachers and counselors on recognizing and supporting neurodiverse learners, reinforcing psychologically safe classrooms and collegial support; “The key to inclusivity is understanding that every learner is unique and capable,” speaker Nelson Ravina said.
HRD followed with the EUr Stress Management and Personal Well-being webinar for 222 faculty and staff; “Stress is inevitable, but how we manage it determines our overall well-being,” speaker Nikko Del Moro said, as sessions tackled mindfulness, coping skills, and supportive work environments.
HRD ran “Understanding Neurodiversity in Higher Education Institutions” for 80 faculty to deepen skills that reduce stigma and improve day-to-day support for colleagues and students.
Beyond events, HRD listed Employee Assistance Programs among its core services so staff can access counseling and related support as needed.
These initiatives advanced MSEUF’s mission and values of Mindfulness, Service, and Excellence by promoting healthy, respectful workplaces and equipping personnel with practical skills to manage stress and support colleagues. They modeled outcomes-oriented and student-centered education by ensuring faculty wellness and inclusive practice—key conditions for effective teaching and learning.
