MSEUF’s commitment to measuring students’ sustainability literacy
In 2024, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation MSEUF continued to strengthen its commitment to sustainability education in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals SDGs. The university recognizes the importance of sustainability literacy—ensuring that students understand global challenges, responsible practices, and their role in creating a sustainable future.
Sustainability embedded in learning
The University integrates sustainability principles into its instruction, research, and community engagement. Academic programs, student organizations, and campus initiatives promote awareness and understanding of the SDGs through various learning experiences. These include seminars, student-led sustainability campaigns, and research projects focused on environmental protection, social development, and ethical leadership.
Assessment and monitoring efforts
While MSEUF continues to align its programs with sustainability outcomes, the 2024 data show that the university has not yet published a formal assessment or survey that directly measures students’ sustainability literacy. However, sustainability-related evaluations and reflections are incorporated into academic activities and extension programs, helping students demonstrate awareness of SDG-linked issues and responsible citizenship.
MSEUF also reported its plan to establish tools that will track students’ understanding of sustainability concepts more systematically. This includes surveys and assessments designed to gauge students’ knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to sustainable development—building on earlier university initiatives.
Commitment to continuous improvement
The university’s approach to sustainability literacy remains a developing area of focus. Future reports are expected to include measurable indicators that reflect student learning outcomes in sustainability and social responsibility.
