Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) strengthened peace, justice, and strong institutions by publicly releasing governance policies that spell out its stance on organized crime, corruption, and bribery, and by running ethics-supportive programs that make those commitments real across campus life.
What’s published and where the line is drawn
- Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy. MSEUF declares zero tolerance for bribery, fraud, embezzlement, and conflicts of interest; defines prohibited practices; and sets investigation, sanction, and reporting procedures to keep the University free from corrupt conduct.
- Modern Slavery Policy. The University commits to ethical labor across employment, procurement, and vendor partnerships, prohibiting trafficking, forced labor, and child labor—closing a key pathway for organized criminal exploitation in supply chains.
- Integrity-linked governance policies. Sustainability policies for donations & funding and procurement formalize due diligence, committee oversight, and record-keeping—controls that deter corrupt influence and ensure transparent decisions.
How MSEUF operationalizes these commitments
- Transparent pay governance. The HRD’s annual merit-pay deliberation used pre-shared evaluations and a named oversight panel—an accountability practice that reduces room for favoritism or undue influence.
- Safe, respectful conduct standards. HRD reiterates compliance with the Safe Spaces Act, detailing reporting channels and confidentiality—part of the University’s culture of dignity and rule-following that complements anti-corruption norms.
- Rights and ethics education. CCJC’s human-rights seminar for future justice professionals reinforces lawful, ethical behavior and intolerance for abuse—norms that underpin anti-corruption systems.
How MSEUF's efforts fulfills SDG 16
MSEUF meets the standard by:
posting a dedicated Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy with definitions and enforcement; 2) reinforcing supply-chain integrity via a Modern Slavery Policy; and 3) backing these with written procedures for donations and procurement and day-to-day controls (merit-pay process, conduct policies, rights education). Together, these measures publish the principles and show institutional will to enforce them.
Grounded in the values of Mindfulness, Service, Excellence, Unity, and Fortitude, MSEUF treats integrity as non-negotiable, codifying anti-corruption rules, protecting people from exploitation, and training its community to act ethically in study, work, and public service.
