MSEUF strengthens aim to provide affordable housing for employees and faculty

In keeping with the goal of creating sustainable cities and communities, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation MSEUF is still committed to offering its employees and faculty members accessible and free housing through the use of university residence facilities.

This ongoing effort is highlighted in a number of requests for accommodation granted for MSEUF employees to provide accommodations for teaching and administrative staff who live outside of Lucena City, including both newly employed and visiting employees.

In order to enable faculty members who live in neighboring towns like Atimonan, Candelaria, and Lucban to efficiently teach professional courses while reducing travel expenses and time, the College of Maritime Education sought dormitory accommodations in January 2025.

In a similar vein, MSEUF Sampaloc, Quezon, asked for temporary housing for a recently hired accounting employee from Sampaloc, Quezon, so that she could attend training sessions at the main campus.

In April 2025, the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences also used the dormitory for their faculty supervising limited face-to-face classes.

These proposals, which university officials have accepted, are in line with MSEUF's proactive policy of offering free or inexpensive lodging on campus to support staff.  These programs support work-life balance, sustainability, and operational effectiveness in addition to employee welfare.

In order to ensure that the university environment stays inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable, MSEUF demonstrates its tangible action toward SDG 11—Sustainable Cities and Communities—by offering accessible and affordable housing choices for staff.
