The Office of Student Affairs and Services of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation conducted the Career Development Program titled “Enhancing Employability: Building Essential Skills and Characteristics Towards Career Success” on Jan. 19 at the MSEUF Gymnasium to guide around 300 first-year college students in exploring career paths and strengthening professional competencies.

Students from various courses and departments attended the program, which aimed to introduce career discovery early in their academic journey.

Rey Marco Casino, officer-in-charge of Student Affairs and Services, encouraged students to develop clarity about their future careers. “Having a clear direction reflects a strong commitment to growth and fortitude,” Casino said. “Students should continue sharpening their talents and transforming them into strengths that will set them apart.”

Maria Isabel Granada, director of the Office of Scholarships, Endowment, Job Placement and Alumni Relations, served as resource speaker and discussed the importance of preparation, adaptability and foresight in building a successful career.

Granada emphasized that career readiness requires both skill development and the ability to respond to changing professional environments.

Jonathan Magnata, event chairperson, delivered the closing remarks and reminded students that pursuing a meaningful career contributes to a fulfilling and purposeful life.

The program encouraged freshmen to recognize the value of their education as a foundation for future professional success.

The initiative reflected the University’s core values of Excellence, Fortitude and Service by empowering students to prepare early for their professional journeys. It also supported outcomes-oriented education by linking academic learning with practical career readiness skills.
