Recognizing its career and employment services, the National Search for the Best Awards nominated Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) in the Job Placement Office (JPO) category during the 26th National Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Congress, held Oct. 14–16, 2026, in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

Center for Scholarship, Career and Job Placement Services Head Maria Isabel Granada accepted the recognition on behalf of University President Dr. Naila Enverga-Leveriza during the Oct. 14 awarding ceremonies. Vice President for External Relations Celso Jaballa accompanied her.

The congress brought together employment service officers, government representatives, educational institutions and other stakeholders under the theme “Kaunlaran sa Bawat Komunidad, Oportunidad sa Bawat Mamamayan.”

Discussions covered employment facilitation, workforce skills, job matching and cooperation among government, educational institutions and employers. Plenary sessions addressed labor market information amid digital transformation, coordination between public employment service offices and job placement offices, lifelong learning and youth employability.

For MSEUF, the nomination highlighted the work of its Center for Scholarship, Career and Job Placement Services in supporting students and graduates as they prepared for employment. The office connected the University with employers through career guidance, employment information and industry engagement.

The University’s participation also provided an opportunity to review employment service practices and discuss approaches to helping graduates navigate changing workplace requirements.

The activity supported MSEUF’s educational goals by connecting academic preparation with career guidance and employment opportunities. It reflected Service through assistance to students and graduates and Unity through cooperation with employers and employment service partners.

  • SDG 4: Quality Education. Career guidance and discussions on lifelong learning connected education with workplace preparation and continuing skills development.
  • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. The congress addressed employment facilitation, job matching and youth employability, which directly related to the University’s career and job placement services.
