The Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF), through its Dr. Cesar A. Villariba Research and Knowledge Management Institute, proudly presents the 30th Research Colloquium, an academic event that highlights the institution's commitment to advancing research aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This year’s theme, “Futures Thinking: Research Innovations for Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals,” underscores the role of research in shaping sustainable and forward-thinking solutions to global and local challenges.

Plenary Speakers:

 

Dr. Choong Yuen Onn is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business and Finance, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia, and Deputy Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Studies and Research. With over a decade of academic experience, he has published more than 180 papers and supervised numerous postgraduate students. His research focuses on organizational behavior, educational management, and environmental studies. Dr. Choong has secured over RM 4.5 million in research grants and actively serves on several editorial boards of international journals. He is also a frequent consultant and visiting scholar across Asia.

 

Dr. Jonathan Rante Carreon is currently the Vice President for Academic Affairs at the Huachiew Chalermprakiet University. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the HCU Journal of Health Sciences (Thai Citation Indexed – Tier 1) and the Associate Editor, GEMA Online Journal of Language Studies (Scopus Q1 Journal of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia). He is also a lecturer under the same institution, a position he has held since 2003.   With his expertise in the field of English Language Teaching and Linguistics, Dr. Carreon’s notable contributions include his role as an invited international speaker mainly in the field of Multimodal Research and Training at prestigious universities in Australia, Thailand and the United Kingdom. He  served as an Adjudicator at the Thailand National Debating Championships and at the European Union National Debating Championships.  He won as Best Speaker at the Three-Minute Thesis Speaking Competition held in Australia and was a Co-tutelle scholar of Macquarie University and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. Dr. Carreon has published multiple papers in communication, linguistics, and the media.

The colloquium will feature paper presentations, panel discussions, and scholarly exchanges designed to foster an innovative and evidence-based academic culture. Students, faculty members, and researchers are invited to participate and contribute to this significant academic gathering.
