Enverga University holds first-ever Career Bonanza Job Fair

Reinforcing its commitment to graduate employability and industry engagement, the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, through the Center for Scholarships, Career and Job placement Services (CSCJPS), conducted its first-ever Career Bonanza Job Fair 2026 at the University Gymnasium, July 14.

Designed to bridge the gap between education and employment, the job fair provided participants with direct access to career opportunities, on-site recruitment activities, and professional networking with organizations from various industries.

Maria Isabel Granada, head of the Center for Scholarships, Career and Job Placement Services, opened the program by emphasizing the University's commitment to providing students and graduates with opportunities that support their transition from academic life to the workforce.

Messages of support followed from Celso Jaballa, vice president for External Relations, and Dr. Claudia Odette Ayala, acting vice president for Academics and Research. Both officials highlighted the importance of preparing graduates for employment through quality education, strong industry partnerships, and career development initiatives that respond to the evolving demands of the labor market.

Representatives from national government agencies also shared insights during the program. Dr. Cristina Barayang, provincial head of the Department of Labor and Employment–Quezon Provincial Office, and Paola Ruth Zapanta, senior labor and employment officer of the Department of Migrant Workers, discussed current labor market trends, employer expectations, and the value of sustained collaboration between higher education institutions and industry in preparing graduates for meaningful careers.

Beyond employment opportunities, participants also accessed essential government services during the event. Representatives from Pag-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, and the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) assisted job seekers by providing frontline services and information. The Wadhwani Foundation, an international nonprofit organization focused on workforce development, also conducted AI-powered mock interviews to help participants strengthen their interview skills and build confidence before meeting prospective employers.

The Career Bonanza Job Fair featured 12 private companies, three government agencies, and one career development partner representing a broad range of industries and employment sectors. A total of 202 job seekers participated in the event.

Participating employers included San Miguel Brewery, St. Anne College Lucena, Inc., Lynville Land Development Corporation, Epson, Open iT, Universal Robina Corporation, Asia Brewery Incorporated, Maxim De Humana, Tai-Fil Manpower Services Corporation, Maxicare, West Side Resorts, and Aureada CPA Law Firm. Their participation provided Enverga University graduates and alumni with opportunities to explore career pathways, engage with recruiters, and apply for available positions.
