Love and nostalgia filled the University Gymnasium of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation as “It’s a Date with the Alumni” launched the road to the Grand Alumni Homecoming in celebration of Valentine’s Day and the University’s 79th Foundation Anniversary, Feb. 14.

The fellowship night reunited alumni from various colleges and batches of the Basic Education Department and strengthened their connection with their alma mater.

The Office of Scholarships and Endowment, Job Placement and Alumni Relations, led by Director Maria Isabel Granada under the Office of the Vice President for External Relations, organized the event.

Organizers transformed the gymnasium into an enchanted royal garden setting, complete with elegant décor and a curated dining experience prepared by students from the College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management. Guests described the evening as “amazing and spectacular.”

The MSEUF Concert Singers serenaded attendees with heartfelt performances, while the MSEUF Banyuhay Dance Troupe delivered vibrant cultural presentations that energized the crowd.

A highlight of the night, “I Found My Love in EU/You,” featured 10 alumni couples who shared their love stories through a creatively staged FM-style “Dear EU” radio segment. Sponsors from the alumni community provided special gift bags to each featured couple.

Before the main program, alumni leaders conducted a business meeting and elected new officers of the MSEUF Alumni Association who will serve from Academic Year 2026–2028 in preparation for the Grand Alumni Homecoming in May 2027, which will coincide with the University’s 80th Founding Anniversary.

The newly elected officers are:

  • President: Carmencita Custodio

  • Vice President: Engr. Ramil Aguilar

  • Secretary: Dr. Carla Carandang

  • Assistant Secretary: Ronaliza Zamoras

  • Treasurer: Nino Magararo

  • Public Relations Officers: Maria Lourdes Salandanan-Rosales and Roy Casipit

Granada said the gathering marked a renewed commitment to alumni engagement as the University approaches a historic milestone celebration.

The event reflected the University’s core values of Unity, Service and Fortitude by strengthening lifelong connections among graduates and sustaining alumni involvement across generations. It also advanced the institution’s vision of global competitiveness by fostering a strong and engaged alumni network that supports future initiatives.
