The Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) has strengthened its commitment to student mental health by partnering with Dr. Ma. Lourdes Ramos-Laydia, a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist based in Lucena City.
OSAS formalized the partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held on Sept. 7 at Dr. Ramos-Laydia’s clinic, Psychodiagnostic NeuroPsych Assessment Psychological Services, in Lucena City.
The event was attended by OSAS counselors, including Director Joana Fe Panganiban, Dr. Liandro Serrano, Daizelene Jabrica, Rey Marco Z. Casiño, and April H. Marquez.
The partnership addresses psychological concerns that require specialized care beyond the scope of Registered Guidance Counselors, as defined by R.A. 9258. Students with complex needs will now have access to external psychological services.
“This partnership reflects our dedication to providing comprehensive mental health support for our students. It ensures that they receive the specialized care they need to thrive emotionally and academically,” Director Panganiban said.
This initiative reinforces OSAS’s role in fostering a supportive environment for students, emphasizing the importance of mental health in their academic journey and overall well-being.
