OSAS BED-GTO, BTS Club concludes year with meeting, year-end party

The Offce of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) Basic Education Department Guidance and Testing Office (BED-GTO) BTS Club held its 2nd meeting and year-end party at the Senior High School annex building, where Andrea Nicole Saberola, BED guidance counselor, welcomed members and expressed gratitude for their dedication as a support group in the Basic Education Department.

The meeting began with a discussion on emotional awareness led by Sherie Anne Gayeta, student support staff, who emphasized the importance of recognizing and managing emotions.

“Understanding our emotions prevents outbursts and helps us make better decisions. It promotes growth, strengthens relationships, and enhances our ability to handle challenges,” Gayeta said.

Updates from members followed, with some expressing gratitude for how the club improved their self-awareness and ability to support peers, where they shared how the club helped them build stronger connections with students across grade levels.

Saberola outlined activities for the upcoming Career Quest, including a Career Corner for Kinder to Grade 5 students, a Career Résumé Writing Contest for Grade 11, and a Career Talk Show for Grades 6, 10, and 12. “Your support will be vital to the success of these activities,” Saberola emphasized.

The meeting concluded with students sharing their New Year’s resolutions, focusing on better time management, saving money, and prioritizing physical and mental health.

The year-end party followed, with members exchanging gifts, sharing food, and participating in games facilitated by Saberola, Gayeta, and Charmaine San Miguel. Members expressed their enjoyment and hopes for similar events next year.
