Strengthening collaboration in community extension, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) presented its initiatives supporting Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries during the provincial external partner stakeholders meeting on April 25, at Kusina ni Pareng Avel, Nawawalang Paraiso, in Tayabas City, Quezon.

Dr. Milagrosa Lawas represented the University’s main campus in Lucena, while Cherrylyn Baniqued represented MSEUF Catanauan. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) convened the meeting with representatives from academic institutions, national agencies, local government units and civil society organizations across Quezon.

MSEUF Catanauan shared community activities organized with the local 4Ps Municipal Operations Office. These included a team-building activity for 42 participants on Nov. 30, 2024, at Marga Selina’s Place and Family Day activities that engaged more than 240 participants in Poblacion and Barangay Madulao.

The University also reported donation packages provided by its Lucena campus to 159 4Ps parent leaders during the Parent Leaders Congress at the PAGCOR Building.

Another presentation highlighted MSEUF Catanauan’s community immersion program for Grade 12 students from Jan. 20 to March 24, 2025. The program gave students practical experience in community dynamics and human relations.

DSWD representatives presented provincial program accomplishments, while partner institutions discussed their community extension, gender development and capability-building activities. An open forum covered health interventions, social welfare monitoring and proposed community initiatives.

The meeting concluded with discussions on further collaboration. DSWD encouraged partners to participate in city and municipal advisory councils, join regional monitoring efforts and expand their networks to support 4Ps beneficiaries.

The activity supported MSEUF’s commitment to community service and learning through practical experience. Its donation initiatives reflected Service, while collaboration with government and community partners demonstrated Unity in addressing shared needs. The student immersion program also connected classroom learning with participation in community life.
